When I first became interested in learning UX design, one of my desires was to make interfaces that were seen and useful for users. At Globo, I had the chance to participate in some projects that allowed me to fulfill this desire. In the midst of company rearranging process, I was responsible for redesigning a page that every Globo employee would have to access, sooner or later: the password change page, on the Acesso Globo portal.

Most of the process was led by the development team, considering I had to work within the limitations of the very strict system for the already existing password changing database, but one of my goals was to follow strict technical requirements while not compromising taking visual quality. I took charge in make the process more friendly to the end user and visually appealing and led meetings with the developers and researched those limitations, using the company brand identity and styles to work prototypes and discuss options.

Results

The new portal was shipped in May of 2022, and the new policy checklist during the password reset process helped improve overall password security in company accounts over 15%, making mandatory resets due to low security less frequent (from an average of 3 months to 12 months).
